Texas Department of State Health Services accredited food handlers program is now being offered at our office! This class is required for all food service employees to help promote the service of safe food. “Food service employees” include any individual working with unpackaged food, food equipment or utensils, or food-contact surfaces in a restaurant or business. It would also be helpful for anyone who serves food for fundraisers, church functions, concession stands, etc. The class is a basic overview of food safety practices that are necessary to ensure you serve safe food. Practices discussed include good personal hygiene, cross contamination, and time and temperature abuse. Upon successful completion of the class, participants will receive a food handlers certificate, which is valid for two years anywhere in Texas.
Cost is $20 per person. Check or money order only, made payable to FPM Account #230202. Pre-registration is highly recommended.
