Wisdom, Power, Control, a culturally meaningful diabetes self-management education program tailored for African American and multi-ethnic communities. The 7-part series will be at the Impact Lufkin office at 105 Lofton St, every Tuesday from 6-8pm, beginning April 11th. This program is offered at no cost to the community. Participants will learn the ins and outs of managing their diabetes in a straight-forward, practical way that works for real life. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required.
Classes will be led by Joel Redus, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and County Extension Agent with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, and Ann Watson, Registered Nurse and Public Health Educator with the Angelina County & Cities Health District.
