To help you with your Foods and Nutrition project, we have developed a series of eight (8) focused workshops scheduled October through January. These workshops will largely be based on the 4-H Food and Nutrition Explore Guides (accessible at https://texas4-h.tamu.edu/school-curriculum/) and will provide knowledge and skills that will be applicable to all 4-H food and nutrition contests and, of course, living a healthy lifestyle beyond 4-H contests. We encourage ALL interested 4-H members to participate, even if they do not plan to compete in a county or district Food and Nutrition contest.
The workshops will consist of a variety of hands-on activities and cooking. All workshops will be on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 pm at the Extension office lasting 1 – 1 ½ hours each. Cost will be $3 per child, not to exceed $6 per family, and can be paid at the door. Must RSVP no later than the Monday before the workshop. All our 4-H youth are invited to attend one, some, or all!
